Internship Diary Entry

Date: 3rd August

Internship at: Legal Maxims

Day: 4

Today was meh.

HOWEVER, the logistics that took to get to work: “chef’s kiss.” I, being the morally generous sister that I am decided to bring my brother to work, thinking: hey maybe ill make a good impression and he wud actually start thinking about life? Well HAHAHA that didn’t work.

We got to the bus stand in the morning on time and I even filled my card with some extra cash. At dot 9:30 (time when bus leaves, why does it have to be so punctual god?) I entered the bus with my brother. Guess what, we cant use ONE card for both of us to enter, we need two. And guess who didn’t have another card right then? Me :)

Anyways, we had to wait like 20 minutes for the next bus to come in. I couldn’t get my dumb NOKIA phone to work (makes sense), and plus coudnt be late for the second time, so we decided to share a taxi to union station. Talk about new experiences!!!

I thought the taxi driver said, it wud cost 20 dhs for both of us, but ofc he didn’t. So we had to pay a total of 40 dhs for THAT. It was super annoying.

We reached union station and for gods sake, everything worked just fine after that.

Except the minor fact that my brother fell down while tying his laces and I became a complete wreck, laughing.

It was hilarious, I couldn’t help it 😊

Reached office, deposited (more like dumped) my brother at a coffee shop which, mind you, had BOTH wifi and food (he is living the life), and headed to my seat.

Didn’t have much work to do in totality but eh got to meet new people and do other tasks which im not complaining about.

Overall fun day, not SO productive at work, but pretty mindful

Hoping next time to be a lil bit more productive.
